Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer Module
(4 channel / 8channel)
The coarse WDM Module is expanding the bandwidth of Metro/Access Networks. The 4-channel and 8-channel CWDM modules are based on Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer devices. They can act as MUX/DEMUX with 20nm channel spacing. It has low insertion loss, low PDL, high isolation and good thermal stability.


Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer (CWDM)

The Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer series is designed and manufactured to Telcordial standard. The devices use environmentally stable Thin Film Filters and advanced packaging technology to achieve a wide pass band, low insertion loss, high channel isolation and excellent environmental stability. They can be used individually to perform single channel add or drop functions or can be cascaded into sequence for multi-channel applications in CWDM systems.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. We are looking for a CWDM 1RU rack with 8 channels using duplex format.
Q2 Currently we have a fibre optic link operating in 1310nm wavelength range. Can we integrate an 8CH CWDM
     MUX/DEMUX (1471, 1491, 1511, 1531, 1551, 1571, 1591, 1611nm ) into the same optical link?
Q1. We are looking for a CWDM 1RU rack with 8 channels using duplex format.
A. Yes we can supply 1RU racks as shown in the below pictures. They are loaded with x2 8 channel CWDM modules. The first module can be used as a Multiplexer and the second module can be used as a Demultiplexer.
Q3. We are interested in having an 8 channel CWDM 1 RU rack with the option of having Monitor and Pass ports.
A. Yes we can provide CWDM 1RU racks with the additional features of having a 1% Monitor and Pass port. Please refer to the below picture displaying the ports.
 
 
Q2. Currently we have a fibre optic link operating in 1310nm wavelength range. Can we integrate an 8CH CWDM MUX/DEMUX (1471, 1491, 1511, 1531, 1551, 1571, 1591, 1611nm ) into the same optical link?
A. Yes, it is possible for us to supply an 8CH CWDM MUX/DEMUX plus a 1310nm Tx/Rx port. You can use an existing fibre link to transmit and receive 1310nm signasl and 8 CWDM channels. Please refer to the below sample picture of a 1RU rack with CWDM and 1310nm ports.
 
Q3. We are interested in having an 8 channel CWDM 1 RU rack with the option of having monitor and pass ports.
